Annual General Meeting – 2010 Chairmans Report

As the wondrous African sun sets on yet another term of office for the executive, take a moment to reflect on the journey travelled by the association over the past twelve years, it has been both a privilege and honour to have been part of the dynamic growth and development of the association.

It has been extremely gratifying to witness the games infectious swell of enjoy extend across the faces of young players from “every” sector of our community and I sincerely believe that the association is on the dawn of a new and more significant charter of its legacy in junior cricket. A solid foundation has been laid for the next generation of aspiring young players. The life skills and social integration that the game of cricket brings should not be measured in numerical numbers or how
many players reach the highest level in cricket, but in the leadership qualities of junior players graduating with a trait of personal responsibility, perseverance and determination to succeed in life’s journey …
